The Snow Queen
Commissioned by Front Range Classical Ballet Academy and D.A.N.C.E (Dance Arts Network and Continuing Education) in 2025, The Snow Queen follows Gerda on her quest to rescue her sister Kaia from the Snow Queen. The work is based on a story by Hans Christian Anderson, with adaptations to make it more suitable for ballet. Performed in December of 2025 by a chamber ensemble including myself, this remains the longest duration of music I have written in one set, with a large amount of range and personality throughout the music.
